Everything’s pretty solid from AC, except the dsps, god I hate mine. The noise floor is ridiculous and software crazy buggy

Do you have any of the amps with integrated dsp and accubass? Might be doing a complete system rebuild this year.
I have opted to paint over my car myself. Interior will get a facelift, carpets having to match the drapes and all..

Same software across the board for the dm series amps and dsps. So higher the line drive from your headunit will be better when choosing

Accubass is pleasant and works nicer to me than the whole epicenter boost…

I dislike Epicenter Bass. I find it highly inaccurate.

Epicenter is not intended to be accurate .
It adds Lower frequencies where there wasn't any ( or much) before.

Run sparrow and kitchener with a proper set epi and it sounds golden.

Any rap and hip hop or music from the 80s with synth bass will not benefit much, hit or miss. To get any added effect makes it sound unnatural . Best to turn down the effect till it's barely noticeable.

I have one running in house with a 18" mmats sealed with the 17hz filter .. I swear by it. Using it for the last ten years

The other epi is to put in the van when I finish clear down the land and don't need to transport tools in the back seat. This one using in snd out over the last near 20 years

Is not pepper and ketchup where u need to pele it. Is like salt where u just add enough the few times it's noticeably missing.

U need to hear it from someone who set it up well to see if u like what it does.
I bight the second hand one to see if I like it and I did. Ended up getting another.

.

Pretty much sums up my experience with it.
To compensate for the older music, I prefer remastered versions .There are studio techniques that can restore lower frequencies and even accentuate it with adding an octave below. There is no one shoe fits all with this.
For any kind of music with bass instruments ( bass guitar, Oboe, etc) it adds an unnatural feel to it IMO.
But I am an SQ guy,so go figure.
For SPL, have fun
