Anyone know about dynojet dyno? First time doing this and was wondering how people interpret the chart. I am curious as to why both runs aren't closer together in terms of shape. I would be more inclined to trust the red run with atw figures of 145.6 hp and 156.2 ft-lbs torque as the general shapes of the curves match more what I've seen from the manufacturer. Manufacturer claims 160hp, 177 ft-lbs at fly wheel.

yur graph should be something smooth like this

u ask darryl or audi wah cud be causing it to be all over so?? what fuel u using?

i find dai good pwr for dah car tho especially if stock is 160hp

Audi wasn't there. A young fella (didn't get his name) set it up BUT I was the one in the card doing the runs. First time doing it so I dunno if is me causing that. Friend of mine mentioned that stock maps tend to be rough like that while tuned ones tend to be smooth. He didn't have any other 1.4 tsi maps to compare to so I just accepted the results.

Normal RON 95 gas. Instructions given to me were shift to gear 3 then do the run till redline then shift to neutral quickly to prevent automatic shifts to 4th.

I think the best thing for you to do is tune it by Eco, re-dyno and post results.

Just to be safe

More like inconsistent between the two runs and it doesn't have the nice clear cut offs like yours and A172's.

was there a significant time interval between pulls?
That clear cutoff comes from hitting the clutch pedal, as opposed to releasing the throttle on an automatic / DCT

There were about 4 runs. All done within a window of 5 min approximately so not much more than a minute between each run.

only thing I could think of is variances in how / where you floored it...how do the other two runs compare?

The other runs were discarded for the same reason you mentioned. I messed up on the pedal position and the timing of switching to neutral at the end of the runs.

I'd do a few more runs and eliminate the human input variables before jumping to any conclusions or assumptions...or worse yet, taking advice from experts

did you book a full hour? I think the first step to getting repeatable pulls is being able to replicate driver inputs, which really does take some practice....which means lots of pulls...I did about ten pulls with the MG...and in between, I checked tyre pressures, engine oil temp, intake temp, just to cater for as many variables as possible. I borrowed an IR thermometer to check intake and engine bay temps...I used the factory oil temp and coolant gauges for those parameters

Got it remapped by Ecotune. If I had to get performance mods from scratch this would be the first one I would have gotten. Would recommend Ecotune's tuning. Professional and knowledgable.

lol three cars and an old Land Rover without wheels boy.......I seriously considering taking a loan just to finish the cars......I need to change the clutch on the MGF before I add any power......I just break-in form having to drop the rear subframe, coolant lines, wiring, shift linkage, etc in order wiggle the gearbox off the engine :-/

Running good so far. Reaches 200 kph faster than before. New max speed of 242 kph reached. 3rd gear pulls like how stock 2nd used to. Only had it for a day and a half so far so still observing. 0-60 feels faster but have no timing device just yet to give y'all figures.
