Funerals in Trinidad

Postby Engi » April 5th, 2023, 9:31 pm

Anyone has any thoughts on who are more affordable/reasonable funeral homes in Trinidad? What are your thoughts on Belgroves or Clark and Battoo are they expensive since they are more well known? What is the average cost of a budget burial funeral in Trinidad? Or how much did you pay?

Armstrong.

Cost depends on the type of coffin you are buying plus other extras.

Reasonable imo.

Dunno about those other places but wrt Hindu funerals Boodoo's is more or less cheaper than Dass. They also offer more flexibility on payments.

Went with shayams islamic funeral home recently. I asked the cheapest, came up to 9k total.

Some masjids apparently are willing to do that service them selves.
Didnt have time to investigate pricing. But suspect it would be less.

Budget funeral on average you can expect to pay between 7500-8500 for coffin, grave, transportation &in-house service.

Where they hit you for a six, is,with storage fees. They can and do charge whatever they want per day for storage, for every day they have that body. This is something to consider, for the people who like to take long to bury their dead waiting for ppl to arrive from overseas, or waiting for relatives to help with the expense. Highest I've ever seen for storage fees was 950/day. Imagine a body in storage for 10 days at that rate, and add that to the cost for everything else.

What funeral home did you use for the 7500-8500 price?
