yeah, the remote is used to turn it off or on and set the modes, eg motion sensing or regular dusk to dawn
as well as brightness
i gonna run it at 50%, not much difference so hopefully won’t stress the leds

If the remote works with any light which is usually the case, anyone can walk with a remote and turn off your lights.

I opted for sensors, timer relay and contactor so you need to be on my network to access my controls.

i tested it out last night
let it charge for about 5hrs in full sun
it only lasted about 7hrs at 50% intensity which is not satisfactory since it came on around 6:30pm and died close to 2am
will have to let it get full day charge and see how it lasts

The big streetlight type has larger batteries I suppose.

I’m seeing those last pretty long, dunno what brand but I’ll look for a couple for extreme perimeter lighting where there are bushy black holes in land nearby

I got them to last all night with only a few hours charge
used the 25% intensity setting but with motion sensing it switches to 100% and switches back to 25% after a few minutes of no activity

yup, that's my intent too.
Don't need full beam unless movement detected.

Ramlagan has some good ones, and some smaller ones for decorative lighting (fenceposts, wall etc.)

What is a good lumber to use for a kitchen island countertop, slab around 24in W and 60in L... Considering moisture resistance over time, and how long does epoxy coating last in that type of wear setting? Want to do one solid slab, live edge I think it's called

Would be something almost exactly like in this photo.

you could check the epoxy supply places to find out the long term results also
tbh i have seen epoxy coated tables in a variety of places and often it gets marred or the coating peels off but then again those might be old school
epoxy compared to what’s avail now

some ppl use oiled finish instead of epoxy

check out nanocoats for the wood after finishing with whichever stain. Similar to automotive protection. n3 nano is a popular one.

Looks good! but the price!
I have a greenheart wooden pergola in front the house and it's almost an annual job to re-sand and varnish. I've been using Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane Satin clear and while it's the longest lasting of all the other coatings I've tried it still only gives me around 18 months max. The pergola is on the eastern side of the house so it's sun, rain and wind constantly.
This nano 3 would probably help but i'd need a lot of it and the price would be crazy.

That sand and varnish thing yearly would be a nightmare although I'm sure the results would be worth it.
I have a gazebo build from olivere wood and I simply stain and protect by spraying with light crude oil. Looks rustic and water beads on the wood after

light crude oil?
no smell?

there are many other oils used on wood as well
oiled finish is certainly an easier option than sanding every year

As I work in the oil industry I take a gallon of oil from wells that produce the lightest smelling crude. Still it smells for about a half day but since it's open and outdoor by later in the evening all scent gone, doggy back to sleeping on his recliner

You do know that raw crude contains a lot of carcinogens right?

it’s better than the pvc board though
pvc board doesn’t take screws well
after a while the screw holes loosen and is
problems for hinges

Folks, whats a reliable, not too $$ brand of toilet available these days?

Seeing one or two twyford with flush handle around still. Don't want any push button. Kitchen and Bath has a Briggs but it comes with a flapper kit. ABC has royal homes, not sure about the quality of those tho.

Can a siphon system be used instead if a toilet comes with flapper?
