Chinese cars Panama

Postby triniboi49 » August 12th, 2025, 9:44 am

Here’s a polished version of your post that keeps it conversational but clear:

Just got back from Panama City and one thing really surprised me —number of Chinese cars. Honestly, most of the new cars I saw were Chinese. Every so often I’d spot something like a Hyundai Tucson, Beamer or Benz.

When it came to Uber cars, most were Hyundai or Japaneese.

I chatted with an Uber driver about it and he said his biggest concern with the new Chinese cars is parts availability.

During my trip I visited one of the malls, and in just that one place there were about four car dealerships. The nicest one I saw was a Jetour SUV that, at first glance, looked a lot like a Range.

I saw Geely models (identical to the Protons we have), Jancoo, BYD, Forthing, Jetour, lync and co, Dongfeng, Chery, GWM (Hava), Changan and some MGs. The only EVs I saw were BMWs.
