there is no cure for stupidity. Sorry for the kid who had to suffer because her parent couldn't foresee that having a high chance of happening.

The dumb ratch owners should have designed and built the gate with some simple rubberized tubing material in the event the person isnt stopped by the resistance of the water in the trough like what happened there, but of course a piece of pipe screwed down with some sheeting screw is more trini.

Trinis don't like to listen to engineers when they start talking bout expensive safety measures blah blah blah

"Just screw dong a thick piece a pipe to keep people from hitting the wall dawg" - Some random welder they find in south who was doing it cheap

Hope they sue and get the place to shut down in the bankruptcy payout. Case will be so easy because of all the health hazards alone.

The JAs put it to contain the water ,which could have easily been done by gently raising the sheet metal over the pipe and folding it around the pipe putting the screws at the bottom. Which is what they probably going to do now.
Talk about buying chain after the dog gone !

Ouch!

Was a metal bar at the end of the slide really the best option they could think of? A little padding would have also gone a long way or they can do it like they do it better places and let them slide into a bigger pool.

That would require moving the slide or reconstructing the pool, gotta keep them profit margins.

But wait though. Why would they install that obvious barrier at the bottom? I mean, it clearly defying physics and common sense logic. Recently installed too as someone pointed out above. Was the park closed? Were the slides closed to the public? Were there signs? I'm not seeing anyone else on the slide or around the water area.

More questions.

Same thing I'm trying to figure out. And why does the slide end at a concrete wall? Ting look like it designed in some post apocalyptic era.
Easy case to win.

Watch the video closely, the water in the trough is supposed to slow your motion. Doesnt it look like she hydroplaned? I think they wasnt counting on a patron reaching to the end. It looks makeshift though.
