Maxxis over Sailun......most important thing with these budget tyres tho is to regularly check your tyre pressure. The sidewalls are very weak and if your tyre goes even slightly soft the sidewalls will be no good after a lil drive. But they are totally acceptable tyres for regular cars and driving styles

Never used Sailun, but bought Maxxis twice and they held out pretty good for me.

I would not even class maxxis wit sailun. Maxxis tyres are very good with traction and don't wear fast. Sailun imo is good for drifting where less traction is better.

Op I will suggest sailun if you trying to break your neck.Your tyres are the only contact between your vehicle and the asphalt, so buy something good nah ras.

Using Kumhos since Dec and I find the performance to not be so bad at all. My previous tyres on that car were Yokohamas and the Kumhos not far off.

In my previous car I used Continental (Best tyres ever!!) then Good Year and both also were quite good performers.

Well that is what I was told when I was shopping around for my last set of jeep tyres. In any event, from your wiki link I just read:
"Maxxis has operations in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, The Netherlands, Japan and Dubai."

So the person may not have been entirely off the mark.

true, however all the maxxis i ever bought were made in china and thailand. never got a german nor seen one. so yes they do make maxxis in germany but i dont think we get those. from experience where they are made has noticeable differences.
