on their site have a pic https://www.jlaudio.com/products/c1-650 ... tems-99043
u cud mount it with some double sided tape - too much stuff to recall but i can check d c1 box tomorrow to tell u, meanwhile if times happen on here he will quicker know d mounting cups they give u with it

lil story - few years back did a db drive tweeter with a faital 6.5 fe200 8 ohm install on a tiida, with d owners consent i used a holesaw to cut a measured hole in d upholstery for d tweeter so both L&R were in d exact position to neatly flush mount it

i set d faital at 80h with condenser & resistor on d tweeter, both speaker & tweeter were set up in stereo for each side, iirc was powered off a orion xtr 500.4 playing off chan 1&2 so going by d numbers it was getting around 50rms in stereo & it was plenty loud, tonal & balanced for d owner [he was thinking 4 speakers but i said lets try 2 & if it needs d other pair we will add it] & i agreed it was plenty for in car daily use , bass was a factory box jl 10" 300rms playing 80h down so it matched well with that ...

Couldn't pull up the pic Rovin posted but I feel it's the same pod for the C1 tweeter that I saw.

Yeah Jeremy you could find a spot to double side tape it. Might look a little bad but it'll work for the time being.

There are actual A pillar mounts selling to mount in the factory location. If you are using JL equipment, put it away nicely, two sided tape is for your nb1 stuff.

I already butchered the door upholstery where i had my last tweeter. But the hole is to big. I can do something to get the c1 to fit there or will it sound better in the location i showed before? Was gonna fix back the upholstery

C1s came with angle mounts. They also fit snug in an 1 1/2 inch pvc collar, so you can make an easy pod if you want.Imo , those were better off axis.

Looked like a bullet tweeter or compression driver was there. It's better if those things are off axis rather than losing your hearing lol.

Or hit it a piece of 2 way tape and let it face left instead of up. Not sure which position is better

Will send you a pic of my unfinished pods. They functional, just haven't found the time to make a nice cover for it.
I may have some mounting parts that might fit the c1s.I can definitely give you the crossovers for the c2 when you ready. It is much better than the capacitor that came with the c 1.

Wrong.
You can replace the fabric and plastic weld the holes in the plastic panels behind it.That is an easy fix.

Using the 80prs to run the c1s. Have to switch it back to standard mode? Also, those crossovers that comes with components, they have bandpass on the mids or the mids play right up? Now learning about them

IMO those x-overs packaged with component systems are basic designs that are probably just to ensure that you don't blow the drivers by feeding them frequencies that they can't handle (tweeters) or too much power overall (good ones have power-protection components included in the tweeter section of the x-overs).

A GOOD x-over design for drivers could end up costing as much as one or more of the drivers. The passive x-overs I designed for my car audio system cost more than the woofers I originally used.

You're better off driving each driver with its own amp channel and using DSP / EQ / active filtering to get the best results. It's the way I would have gone if I could have figured out a way to run two pairs of speaker cables into each door of my 2007 Tucson :-).
