Prob the xgimi halo + or the nebula line of laser projectors might work for you could check them outDuane 3NE 2NR wrote:I'm actually looking for a portable projector.
Doesnt have to be 4K. 1080p is fine.
Built in speaker preferred.
Auto keystone is a plus.
Wifi and smart streaming functions like Netflix etc would be great.
Would be fantastic if it has AirPlay.

Checked these . Doubt they can handle the weight, but I'll look around locally to see what I can get. Using Kefs q150sDuane 3NE 2NR wrote:mero wrote:Where you guys acquired speaker stands? Looking for a couple for my bookshelf surrounds.
Check Sound & Security in Valpark and also Steves Electronics and also Gopauls Electronics in San Fernando.
Music instrument stores also have the tripod stands.
For more aesthetic surround stands though you may have to order those online

yup - unless you going for an industrial look - guess it's design choice
I cringed at the thought of mahogany stands - automatically thought of terazzo floor and groove ply ceiling.
Sorry timelapse

paid_influencer wrote:audio rca cables are unbalanced and will degrade in quality past about 30 feet. you won't find any that long, with the exception of maybe some analog CCTV cables (they use coax wire and have BNC ends and come with BNC to RCA converters)
what I've seen otherwise is analog RCA <-> ethernet converters sold in pairs (send and return for L+R rca). You could try one of those with a long ethernet cable (75ft and 100ft lengths are common).

Recently upgraded from 5.1.2 Denon AVRX2400 to 5.1.4 using an Onkyo RZ50
The in ceiling speakers are all monoprice 6.5" Coax. Good performance for budget speakers.
Could live with this..Gladiator wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:mero wrote:That looking real stink

Besss. Was looking at that actually but 9.2 was out of range at the moment so I got a 7.2 x1800 denon cuz my old Yamaha just dead on me a few weeks ago. So I'll have to do the 5.1.2 maybe 5.2.2 soon until I upgrade receivers again.
Seeing u really dont need that that much to have effective Atmos in ceiling, was looking the the Micca brand and saw they getting real good reviews on avsforum and reddit
