in p traps there isn’t much difference in the toilet functionality they all flush more or less the same so just a question of esthetics

however in s traps toilets there can be wide range in flushing performance since the design is a little more involved with the s shaped exit
i have a cheap toto which i brought down years ago
this thing flushes like a bat out of hell
no load is too big for it

Just like that the price of everything skyrockets again

Cement prices are set to increase by seven per cent from February 17, which is almost a year to the day since it was last increased.

$555
only thing is you have to make up a mount so both mounted on pole or where ever
they have this in 3 sizes
2yr warranty, hopefully battery will last

I have a couple like these, the advantage with this design is that you can place the panel in a proper location to catch the suns rays to give it a good charge. I also have a couple with the street light design (panel and light integrated into one unit), I had to be more mindful when setting them up since there was very little adjustment for the panel. If it does not get direct sunlight, it will not last the entire night.

Hey guys, looking at starting to build a two storey residential house. The size is 45'x38'. However I am having some issues with the garage (22'x22'). Looking at having a decking above but the having issues determining the support. ROT for the concrete is 15ft cloumn spacing, it was suggested that I look at a steel beam for the span. What are your thoughts? Land is flat and stable.

You need a civil/structural engineer and not a draftsman for that

I doubt. They have Guyana and all that infrastructure works across there to focus their efforts on.

What's the average cost of a draughtsman's plans for a standard residential home? The design is completed - just need someone to prepare the documents for submission to T&C etc.

Isn’t it a self service system thru DevelopTT now?

How do you prevent an upstairs bathroom from leaking via seepage through the concrete decking downstairs? This is prior to tiling the bathroom etc.

Downstairs is a garage.

I’m looking to do my driveway like the photo. But I’m torn and undecided on if to use artificial grass or to use turf. Currently I have healthy turf as my landscape so it could incorporate well. But I don’t know how it would stand with cars on it, washing cars and foot traffic over time.

Also the depth is important. I don’t want to feel dips/grooves while driving. I know 2” can work if I’m going with turf (to deal with the sod) but what would it be for the artificial?

Any advice or experience. Would be appreciated as I’m looking to do this soon.

Use one of those concrete sealing products. Call SCL (Trinidad) Limited for advice on the best product they have for your use.

- I recommend calling TerraCrete for advice as they usually construct driveways like this. Their staff is knowledgeable. Hope this helped.

Usually around $1100 TTD per sq ft for the building while the external works could vary from $30 - $45 per sq ft depending on land size and slop of land.

What advice can be given with respect to choosing internal doors for bedrooms? I know there are alot of different options but what are the pros and cons, or what should one consider before choosing/purchasing?

Whatever you do, don’t buy those 6 panel Chinese metal and wood fabricated doors. It looks modern and priced around $700 but they are for perfectly installed frames.

Any miscalculation of if the frame is off nor tile is off. Its problems. Youd have to grind the door which exposes the door to getting rust and dented. Worst yet if you get the kind that doesn’t have the precut door holes. Pressure. Also the wood at the hinges is poor. Making them drop easy.

And those hollow core mdf or hdf doors aren’t good in my opinion either. Spend your money on quality doors.
