The ones who have lost their earning and jobs have nothing to fear. The govt is giving them rent assistance. The rest who fall into the category of those who cannot qualify for the assistance will be deferred or completely written off according to their situation. Which class do you fall in ? Why all the fretting ?

In order for a landlord to evict you under normal circumstances , he/she has to give you notice in writing
and give you 30 days .
So as a result you DO NOT have to pay ANY rent for 30 days .
The notice has to be received by you in person so that you know ..
However you can fight back by saying you have no income or no job .
Keep the money for FOOD and MEDICINE .
KEEP YOUR CASH !!

The notice has to be delivered to the tenant's last known address.
Tape the notice to the front door and take a photograph. That is sufficient proof of delivery.

Good one. In some cases your don't want to approach the tenant because he/she pose a physical threat. In that case, make a copy of the signed notice and send the original via TT-Post with a tracking number. If the situation escalates legally, you have proof.
Planning to kick out one at the end of this month. Notice delivered and in discussions with a bailiff. He was notified verbally 2 months ago so he have enough time to look for a place. He got the written notice 1 month later with the deadline.
I know he's coming with redhen excuses.
